Dr. Pepo García Moreno
I am Dr. Pepo Garcia Moreno, currently leading the orthopaedic knee unit at Hospital Vithas 9 de Octubre in Valencia. My practice focuses on primary and revision knee replacements, arthroscopy surgery, ACL reconstructions, meniscal repairs, and other sports traumatology injuries.
Inspired by a family of surgeons and fuelled by my passion for sports, I’ve always had a profound interest in orthopaedics. I commenced this medical journey at the Catholic University of Valencia and bolstered my experience through a five-year programme in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology at Doctor Peset University Hospital in Valencia, one of the finest public hospitals in Spain.
I continued to advance my knowledge at internationally renowned centres in Europe like Clínica CEMTRO in Madrid, a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, and later at the prestigious Helios ENDO-Klinik in Hamburg, Germany, where I honed my expertise in knee replacements alongside Europe’s leading surgeons.
Knee joint replacements and arthroscopic surgery fascinate me, constantly driving me towards innovation and improvement, both for my teams and myself. However, in pursuit of enhancing the quality of life of my patients, I am also open to exploring the use of advanced therapies with stem cells to treat knee osteoarthritis and other knee conditions.
